Response to Intervention

Response to Intervention, RTI, is not a special education service.  RTI focuses on the early prevention of academic difficulty, especially in the areas of math, reading, writing, and/or behavior.  In an RTI process, a student who is struggling in class receives additional instruction and support based on the student's needs.
